Unhappy Amp audio fuse keeps blowing. Bad Amplifier?

Hi everyone,

I was driving around in my 04 TSX listening to the radio on Thursday night when the sound cut out. The radio was still working fine, but just no sound coming from the speakers. I could also smell slight burning from somewhere in the car. (which really freaked my GF out...)

I looked and found the amp audio fuse (#5) was blown and upon replacing it, the new fuse blew immediately and the speakers emitted a quick chirp. (kinda like plugging in a guitar to a live amp) I've looked at all the speakers and they are fine, no shorts anywhere that I can tell. The whole system is stock except the front door speakers, but those show no sign of issues. I also tried disconnecting the battery, installing a new fuse and then reconnecting the battery but that fuse blew right away as well.

Could the amplifier be fried and I need a new one or something else? I'm out of ideas here...no clue what else could be the problem. Please help!

Thanks in advance!
