Sounds like a ground problem. Check all cabling.

Make sure your amp and head unit are grounded to the same point, and that your ground cable on your amp is as short as possible, and grounded to bare metal using a large bolt. Many use existing bolts in the trunk, or the seat belt bolts.

This would require running one of the grounds the length of the car. As long as they are both cleanly grounded to the frame you should be fine.

But as already stated, its probably your grounding causing the problem.

Also make sure your RCA's going to the amp aren't on the same side as the power/ground.

good quality wiring and soild ground points are they key.

make sure to remove the paint around the point to which you are grounding.

Like mentioned above...check all your grounds. Also, make sure that your RCA cables are not running near the power cable.

He meant inside the amp.

Did you ground the chassis of the radio? There should be a 1/4" Fast-On tab on the back, connect that with the shortest wire possible to the best location you can find under the dash. You shouldn't have any amp grounds further than 2ft. Capacitor grounds don't matter as much.
