Thanks for the info. I'll use 2.14" as a baseline for spacer selection. I don't want to have to trim the door panel if at all possible. I think I may just go with the Infinity Kappa 6.5's and a 3/4" spacer. Should give plenty of clearance and I shouldn't have to trim the door panels. And I'll save quite a bit of money going that way that I can put towards an amp down the road.

FYI I just got off the phone with Alpine and the new subwoofer they have coming out that will only need 1/2 the mounting depth with same performance as the older style has a real eta for the end of April. The model #'s are SWRT10 for the 10" sub and SWRT12 for the 12". This is a little more about them

Spoke with Crutchfield about the Kappa 692.9i's for the rear deck. They said the Kappa's won't fit because the tweeters will hit the factory grill. Doesn't sound right to me. Can anyone comment on that?
