I've finally installed the Alpine Type-R component speakers! Much to my dismay, a lot of people thought it was impossible to install such big speakers into the TSX, but I got it to work! The treble sounds awesome with the new tweeters (the stock tweeters were just crap in comparison..they look like paper cones). I fabricated my own spacer, so the mounting depth was less than 1.9" I also changed out the rear deck 6 x 9, and what a difference it makes! The bass control actually works now, before if I crank it up beyond +2 I would get really muddled bass. Now I can crank it up without problems. Overall, a great but tedious install, but well worth it
