Don't let requency range sway you, buddy. We can only hear from 20-20khz (assuming absolutely no loss of hearing up high). You will never regret running JL HD amplifiers. The 900/5 is a brilliant powerhouse (and in my fiance's car) and will never reveal deficiencies, even to a jaded, raised on class a/b ear like mine). Sundown is like a thousand other new companies such as Fi, Digital Designs, et. al. who are focused on SPL bass and nothing more. JL will give you sound quality, not just quantity. I can mash to Three Six Mafia or pick up subleties on a recording of Mozart with My W7 and JL Slash amps.... Try that, Sundown!

I've had 6 different JL amps, no issues. Im very happy with them in any aspect. Does help that my friend owns his own shop who sells them to me for good prices.

i've been running an alpine pdx 5 in my car for almost 2 years. these amps sounds fine, but there's something lacking. I had a diamond audio amp before and it sounded better than the pdx. i am planning to redo my set up with the jl audio HD amps soon. hopefully these amps live up the the hype that everyone is giving them.

IMO the JL slash amps are better than the HD amps, mainly because the HD is a class D amp where as the slash is a class AB amp.

Better sound quality from a true AB amp.

Difference between a slash and an HD would be inaudible as long as you are below clipping.

Pretty much any of the amps mention would be good enough for you. They're all great amps and will give you what you need. Just pick one and be happy with it.
