Alpine IVA-W200

I have the IVA-W200 and I want to add navi to it. What add on do I need? I've heard I need the Blackbird (PMD-B100), or the Blackbird 2 (PMD-B200), or even the NVE-N872A DVD-based add on.

Can any of these work with my unit and which is the best?, or is there a better one than the ones i've listed?

Thanks.

I believe you can only use the first blackbird in the 200...if I'm correct the blackbird 200 will only work with the W205 and the W505...or you can get the actual alpine navigation unit they sell but it's A LOT more expensive then just getting the blackbird I (I'm sure you can find it for real cheap now that the blackbird 200 is out)...

i heard i can use the Blackbird 2. The difference with the W205 is that you don't need the docking station. With the W200, you do need it

Holy crap! Look what a minute-thirty on Alpine's website does.....

IVA-W200 Owners Manual. Page 72 shows exactly what 3 navigation add on's can be used with the W200.

Roger that. I would call Alpine and get a straight answer. Their customer service is very knowledgeable.

if you are running a processor like the h701, i think you would also need an add on to get audio from the blackbird to the processor (KCE-900E).

if you're running audio from the w200 though, I don't think you need it.

I haven't heard many good reviews about any alpine navigation system. I think they got a bad rep w/ the blackbird 1. There was supposed to be a firmware upgrade or something for the blackbird 1, so if you go that route, see if it has it already.
