i bought my cl with a alarm.. it makes a high pitched beep noise when armed, and 2 high pitched beeps when disarmed... but recently it hasnt been making the sound... is there something wrong with my car? the weather has been getting colder.. could that be a problem? any comment or advice would be helpful.. thanks in advance!

 

Is there an option on the alarm to mute the chirp?
Does the beep noise come from the siren? Is the horn/siren dead? Arm the alarm and bump the car to set it off. Does the siren sound?

 

hmm.. never tried to sound the siren.. haha.. ill get back to ya

 

do your lights still flash when you lock or unlock your car
if so your chirp noise might have been shut off on accident...you have to press and hold the lock or unlock with the trunk button at the same time to turn it back on.

Sounds like it's in Valet. Valet mode deactivates the sensors of the alarm, but keeps keyless working, as well as pakring light flash. If the dash stays on Solid on the dash, or it doesn't flash any more, that would indicate that its in Valet. What does the remote look like?

 

the remote looks like a normal remote... lock botton (big) ontop... bottom left has the unlock button... bottom right has trunk button... and bottom has panic button in red.... and its grey w/ acura on it... i tried pushing the unlock (lock) and the trunk button together and it doesnt work... is this how u turn off valet mode too?
