TL: aftermarket sub with factory sub

aftermarket sub with factory sub

does anyone know if its possible to wire my after market subwoofer to my oem subwoofer by connecting some rca's to the factory? its on a 2nd gen tl.

You can... Just Remove the 4 wires coming into the OEM SUB and Convert them into RCAs and Vuala! You got Your Input Cables.

The Only Downside is the Fixed LPF in the OEM AMP which makes some Bigger Subs sound Off.

For a Cleaner Sound you must By-Pass the SubAmp which is alot more Hassle.

dont do it! remove the factory sub and leave that hole in the back, youll be suprised how much extra bass you get (with the factory sub removed) from your aftermarket sub that you installed in the trunk...

It takes all of 5 min to pull the back seat out to get to the amp to connect the wires before they get amplified not really that much of a hassle.

Also are you asking if you can use the factory amp to power your new sub? If so no you can't nor can u use its power to power an aftermarket amp.
