hey guys i went to my stereo shop today and sais that they cant out in an aftermarket radio without me losing my navigation. they were saying something about if we took out the bose we would have to run all new wires throughout the car which i already was ready for but they say that if the stock headunit is taken out then the nav screen doesnt function..... has anyone with nav gotten an aftermarket radio installed and still can use the nav at all?

HAHA they dont know what they are talking about...I bet it was Car Toys or maybe even Tweeter? Both told me that, but it isnt true. the only thing you lose is the gay voice. Everything works perfectly with all aftermarket stuff!!!!

yup you will lose the voice prompts but i think it can be restored if you locate the proper wire(s) and hook it up to an amp (possibly) and a speaker. i bet you can find the nav mute wire too and hook this up to the new headunit too.
