What would happen if I were to disconnect amplifier/sub that are currently connected to an aftermarket headunit? I want to leave the headunit itself but would like to remove both amplifier/sub (in the trunk). Will this affect anything?

Car was traded in to the dealer and I want to retrieve as much as I can. But obviously removing the headunit would require more work than disconnecting amp. So what would happen if I were just to take that out and leave the car at the dealer? Will the sound system not work?

do you have a separate amp for the sub and the speakers? removing the sub and sub amp wouldn't do anything. you'll just lose the sub.
