hey guys, I just bought a 2001 cl type s last week, today i went to replace the joke of a double din that was in it with a new one and have everything wired up thank god i didnt fully install it yet.....no sound, (everything else is stock) i know there is an amplifier in the car and the old owner spliced into the stock harness for the amp switch (yellow/white wire) anyone know if there is a fuse that could have just blown or if im just too fed up with it and over looked something? someone please help before i take both head unit and smash them to pieces!

does the radio turn on? does the (im guessing aftermarket) amp turn on?

 

yes the headunit turns on, i had to get a DVOM and for some reason it wasn't putting out enough power for the stock amp but it put out enough power for a bypass relay for the dvd player, i ended up tapping into the cigarette lighter and the amp turns on. thank you anyways!
