I'm using a mercman harness that i purchased from someone else.. and i've come to notice that I am missing bluetooth.

I can push the button, I believe i hear the beep; but then shortly after I do not hear anything else...

the person on the other line can still hear me fine..

anyone got any ideas?? i'm stumped..

I do not hear the beep; my music volume does not lower or even pause.
I am also using a DICE silverline kit; but this was never an issue with the original amp hooked up...

Bluetooth does show up in the MID and i can even setup and pair my phone... and see all the status bars in the MID.

 

The factory BT is integrated via the factory HU so replacing the factory amp using the harness will have no impact on the BT. The factory BT mutes the rears and sends the voice through the fronts. It could be possible that you inadvertently connected the HU front channels to the rear of your aftermarket amp/sub. Check your gains front and rear and check that the fader works correctly. If the fader is OK and the BT still is not working then disco the Dice and see what happens.

Once in a while this happens with my 2nd gen but clears with the next call.

i am glad you advised to unplug the dice.. i pulled the pocket and felt a connector similar to the one on the steeringwheel for handsfreelink..

Silly me i forgot to plug it in!!!!!
Bluetooth works great and actually music is paused completely when taking a call!!

works well with my iphone 3G-S thank you so much for your promptness!
