aftermarket alarm
if someone has done this before or knows of a way to do this, it would be awesome. ok, i am taking delivery of an 04 tl and want to keep the factory alarm. the thing is, i want to add a Viper 790XV Responder on top of the factory alarm. i have to park outside at night, and only want to turn on the viper alarm at night and have the remote start for in the morning but just use the factory alarm the rest of time. if someone can help me out with what to do or a way to do this, it would be awesome. thanks

it's not possible from my expirience in installing that alarm. The basics of it go like this. the alarm feature of it works in a type of conjunction with the factory alarm (in fact it actually bypasses most of the factory features and uses the same features that programmed into the brain of the 790vx). Unfortunately there is no way to be able to switch it to be able to use both the factory alarm and an aftermarket one seperately. The remote start while working through the same brain, is essentially a seperate function so being able to add that wouldn't be a problem.
