Adding a sub to my truck
Adding a sub to my truck
I am not that good with factory units, but I want to add a sub/amp to my Ranger but use the factory head unit.
If I am correct, I need to splice into one speaker and run a line converter from the speaker wire, thus giving me an RCA to feed the amp.
Run power from the battery, and a remote power. poof, done, right??

You need fused power from the battery, remote power going from the factory HU (unless your amp has signal sense turn on), and ground.
That's pretty much it.
