Like the majority of my mods, I install them first and then think, "man I should have taken some pics for a DIY!" Sorry, no pics, no DIY, but I can give any advice you may want....

Just installed this little doozy in my 2000 TL (stock alpine/bose HU, Alpine CD-Changer from Acura)... I put the blitzsafe adapter in the same location as the "stock" interface converter (from the DIN style changer cable to the HU) and pluged the changer cable in the back of the blitzsafe... I connected the blitzsafe to be back of the HU, and ran the ipod dock-style connector down under the center console "box", where it exits up and turns back into the cupholder area (I use the Belkin cupholder ipod mount)

How does it work.... Perfectly! In dash CD is normal, press "CD" again and you get cd changer control, press + and then - somewhat quickly and it switches to the ipod audio, which sounds perfect... The blitzsafe sends the non-amplified line out signal to the radio for perfect sound.... not having ipod controls like the icelink kinda sucks, but i dont mind using the ipods buttons as needed... to switch back to CD changer just press + and - like before and you're back...

The charging function is also perfect, and the blitzsafe really does charge the ipod for almost exactly 20 minutes after the car is off VIA the radio power output... the blitzsafe has a fuse to protect your car from possible shorts, which is very nice and safe.

Very worth the 89 bucks for the adapter...

 

oh, and the purpose of this one is it lets us external cd-changer boys and girls retain our cd changer control

 

Glad it works so well... I *thought* this was the one that gave TSX and new TL owners retained XM... sheesh, clal Blitz again this AM...

 

Does the iPod connect from where the headphones go into the iPod, or under the iPod?
