Adding a sub and amp

I have a 2001 CL type S what is the best way to hook a amp and sub to the factory bose system (i just want the amp to run the sub)

splicing the signal from teh rear speakers into a Line Output Converter. Then running RCA's from the LOC to the amplifier.
