TL: adding a cigarette lighter socket in trunk??

adding a cigarette lighter socket in trunk??

Hi, i am new here and just wondering if there are ways to add a cigarette lighter socket in the trunk? i know it might be doable and just wondering if there are fuse box in the trunk so i could just add-a-circuit?

Anything is possible. Running a 10-8 gauge wire or so back from the battery would do it, with a ground in the trunk. Its how we do car audio. you could even connect a relay so the 12V switched ignition turns it on, if you don't want it on when the car is off.

definitely doable, my 4runner actually came with one back there. Like fourthmeal said, you could either run a circuit back there, or tap off something that's already back there, depending on how much work you wanted to put in.
