6x9 Subs

A while back there were several threads about TandBand (sp?) 6x9 subs, but none of the threads had anyone who actually bought them.
Has anyone used the Tangband or some other type of 6x9 subs?

and keep the flaming to a minimum, I realize many people hate 6x9, but some people don't want to add a "real" sub

6x9 are actually one of the better speakers compaired to the other sizes, not including subs hence i use the word speakers. the reason for that is the 6x9 woofer/cone have more surface area than any other speaker, since 6x9 are the biggest size that speaker comes with clsoe to that is a 6x8 found in GMs or domestics. More surface area = more bass, and with the word speaker, tweeter and midrange would normally acompany it. So you get better bass and same high in a 6x9 as compared to the same brand 6 1/2 coaxial. Shoot .. i wish the tsx comes with 6x9 component in the front and rear door. that'd rock so hard!

Great, another 6x9 "sub" thread.

Unless you upgrade the stock amp, it wont matter WHAT you put back there...

I realize you have to amp them.
My idea would be to get a 4 channel amp to power a set of comps in the front and the 6x9 subs in the back and run the back door speaker off the HU.
I just want to know if anyone has run a set-up like this and what can be expected from 6x9subs
again I realize they will not hit like a 12" or even a 10", but I would hope it would be huge improvement and give a good all around sound

Can't use them as they are 8ohms. There's not a good replacement. Its really either stock or add a sub in the trunk which gives you better control and sound.
