Are the 6 CD changer in the newer model Accords compatible with 00 TL? I have a 2000 TL which came with a single CD player with cassette. I know newer models come with 6 CD changer in the dash. I have a friend who upgraded his stock 6 CD changer in his Accord to aftermarket and am wondering if I can hook that up to my TL.
Other related q:
1. How much should I pay him for the stock 6 CD changer?
2. How much would the labor be to install it on my TL?
Any info will help. Thanks in advance.
Sorry if this has been discussed about before.

what year accord? it's the oem honda changer? if so, it probably will work and should plug right into the tl headunit without an adapter. if it's a real alpine changer, make sure it is a chm series and not a cda one...you'll also need an adapter.

ok let me get this right you want want take out the stock headunit and put a new model accord headunit in your car... i would say that it should plug right in and depending on what accord modle you are talking about (ie w/ bose without/ bose you may have to do some slight modifications to get the stock sub to work... but if i remember correctly the stock accord headunits are square and the tl headunits have a slant on each side... so then you would need to make a faceplate... and if you are going to go thru all this i would say just spend a little more cheddar and get an aftermarket headunit..... but with the right about of time and money any thing can be done..... as for how much you should pay him i would say no more than a couple hundred dollars....if that... personally if i was you and that is all you want is the 6 disc in dash headunit i would look at trying to get a 2002 and up stock headunit... simple plug and play upgrade... just my 2 cents....

For a trunk mounted Alpine CD changer (CHM-S620), are the adapters made for a 1999 Honda (any model) compatible with a 1999 TL? I'm trying to figure out if a.) this changer will work with my TL, and b.) if I can use a Honda adapter.
Thanks
Thanks
