? 4 Streeteffectz or any inclined tech.
I was wondering if it is possible to build some kind of device that takes the FM signal from the Antaena that ranges 89.0- 108.0 Mhz and converts it to a lower band of say 70.0 - 90.0 Mhz? If not can you target and convert at least 4 or 5 specific frequencies to a specified lower frequency. For example take 97.1 and make it 77.1? I know FM modulators take raw audio signals and convert and send as a station frequency like 87.1 or 89.3 something like that. Knowing that, wouldn't it be possible to make a board that accepts the signal from ant. and splits the signal by 5 or 6 frequencies, and then converts and transmits them on a different station, and then combines them and sends it through an ant wire to a radio's tuner board?
is is possible? yes, but then you'd have to also worry about FCC violations and such .. just wondering - why do you want to do this?
a device like this would cost a couple hundred probably as well
