I have a 3.2cl 03 that has bose stereo system in it. It worked for about a year and then it stopped. I looked at the manual after and it said not to put CDR-w cd's in it and I did. Every time I try to put a cd in it it says ERROR. I took it to acura and they told it would be 500 to fix because they just send it back and get a new one. Is there anything else i can do besides paying acura that much?

 

Aside from putting in an aftermarket head unit, you could buy a used replacement via eBay, the Black Market forum or car-part.com:

hey man,try calling "Rive Automotive Electronics".They will fix any problem with your Radio for 119.00+16.00 for shipping.My disc changer had the same problem.I could insert and eject but cd's would not play.Whole transaction took 10 days,and he gives a 90 day warrenty on his work. 1-866-997-4839 My repair was done 4/28/08 and there has not been a problem since.coustumer service is great also.they always answered the phone when I called and was able to update me on progress.now thats service......

Hmmmm... Some peoples fail.. Not everyones.. I would suggest putting a max of 4 cd's in just to be safe..

 

Do 03 TL-S share same head unit as 03 CL-S?

 

No. I can't remember if there's a slightly different shape to them or if it's the fact the CL's have tweeeters and TL's has subs. But the answer is no.
