2nd gen TL on a budget

Just inherited my wife's 03 TL and the stereo has
to go. I am looking for ideas upon how to improve
on my sample config for an upgrade on a budget.

Alpine 9846 H/U ($150)
Boston Acoustics SL60 6.5 front speakers ($240)
Retain rear speakers for fill in (will replace later)
JL Audio E4300 amp for front and rear ($250)
JL Audio 10W0 ($105)
Single sealed box (from friend for beer)
Kenwood KAC-823 80x2 bridgable for sub (leftover from old system)

Install: $???? (Any recomendations for the Dallas area?)

Would like to retain steering wheel controls and would
like to connect my Zen Micro mp3 player if possible.

What do you guys think?

u may have issues with the rear speakers since you will be bypassing the OEM amp and it runs on different ohms... someone please correct me if im wrong that the TL doesn't have the OEM amp...

Under $1000 installed. The less it costs; the
sooner I get it done. Kid coming in Sep so the
budget is pretty well set.

Thanks

I think they are 2ohm which the E4300 can do or I can just
disconnect them altogether. Using the E4300 would give
me the choice of putting aftermarket rear fill in later.

KaM - you still in the Addison area? I work in Addison by the airport.
You know any good places for installs in the area that aren't to
expensive and won't give me a hard time for providing half the
equipment myself instead of buying it from them?

Thanks guys

The OEM speakers in the TL are 4 ohm. The CL has a trunk mounted amp and 2 ohm speakers. The TL has an internal deck amp and all the speakers are 4 ohm. This install should be pretty cheap. I would charge a customer around $500 for the labor. And $150 for wiring.

Please PM me for details. We have 5 shops in Texas. I'd be glad to help out.
