I've experienced yet another issue with my 2005 RL that may or may not be related to a fender bender I was involved in last week.

After about a week, my CD player now no longer works. When I click over to CD mode, the disc fails to load and "ERROR" appears on the dashboard panel (where XM text is normally displayed). To make matters worse, I cannot eject any of the discs. I looked in the owners manual and all it says is that it's a mechanical problem and in this case I should consult my dealer.

Has anyone had a similar issue? I've heard about performing a "hard reset" of the electronics by disconnecting the battery but I am not sure if this would help.

 

I bought a used 2005 RL w/o testing the 6 disc changer. 1st time I inserted a CD, no play. I got an error msg and CD wouldn't eject. I don't want to spend over 1000.00 to repair. Any suggestions ?

 

The same just happened to me. I was lucky, it turns of the CD just didn't eject all the way. I was able to pry it out and it's been fine since. I hope it turns out to be something easy for you too.
