I have looked all over the forums for a recommendation on a drop-in, replacement subwoofer for a 2004 TL but haven't had any luck. I've seen many talks about subs that will work with a bigger amp, etc but that's not what I'm looking for.

I am tempted to just buy the factory one from Delray but I know they suck... I just don't want to have to do anything more than drop it in, hook it up and be done.

People have said that the JL 8in W3V2 works good as a drop-in but I can't find it for sale anywhere. I've found 10in but wasn't sure if that would fit correctly.

Any help would be appreciated. If there is a thread you can point me to that answers my questions that be great too. Sorry if this has been asked before (which I'm sure it has) but I couldn't find it.

They all sound like shit.

 

Free air subs are not worth it IMO ... get a nice sealed enclosure, sub, amp and you won't regret it

 

I noticed online that the els surround sound has 10 speakers with one in each back door. My 2004 TL has no backdoor speakers.

 

The 2nd gen TSX's and 4th gen TL has 10 speakers. The 3rd Gen TL has 8 speakers. The Kicker C8 free air sounds good. I had this in my 08 Accord with dynamat.
