Has anyone successfully put in an 2002+ Factory Radio in a 2000 TL W/ Navi and kept everything the same? If so please let me know how it went and the situation with the wiring harness and security codes? Are you able to keep the 2000 Wiring harness and just switch out the stereo? Also does anyone out there have a 2002+ Radio they would like to sell to me? Let me know! Thank you much.

Ok....so I Just Called My Dealership.

They Said:

2000 Wire Harness Is Different Than The 2002 And The 2002 Is Different From The 2003.

Also All The Harnesses Are Different Versus Navi And Non Navi

They Didnt Know What The Connector Would Look Like On The Back Of The Stereos, He Told Me It Would Be Trial And Error, Take Out The Stereo And Look, And Look At The New One.....does Anyone Have Any Pictures Of This Stuff?

I Feel So Lost,

I Am Thinking Of Just Putting A Changer In The Trunk...........but I Am Sure It Will Be Some Complicated Project On That One Too........

Any Advice? Please Help.

The 02-03 TL HU will fit in the 99-01 TL. The wiring/harness are all the same but the eq harness has moved from the left (looking at the back of the 99 HU) to the right next to the antenna. I just replaced it myself a week ago.

 

Thanks for making a response. But as far as people with a TL that has navigation, will it still be a simple plug and play or will you need a 02/03 hu from a TL with navigation.

 

i would also like to know the answer to this one...i got the same answer from the dealer. i have a '02 TL HU and a '00 TL w/NAVI, but i dont want to take out the HU w/o knowing this. can anyone tell us the answer??
