2000 TL nav system-questions and possible sale of it...

hi all, i'm new to all this, wanted to see if anyone knows where i can buy some wire harnesses from a 2000 TL. i recently wrecked my TL but i was able to save the dvd-drive/computer and LCD from my car. i want to make this work in another car so i'm hoping to get the main wire harnesses for it. i have the security code so that won't be a problem. does anyone know where i can get these wire harnesses? if it turns out to be too much work, then i probably will sell the system. i know that this is better than the 99 model since the dvd covers the entire USA. so any help would be greatly appreciated and i thank you in advance. you can email me at y2kaibo@hotmail.com.

In reply to your other post which were closed....from my understanding the Acura navi' is quite similar if not almost identical to Alpines NVE-N852a. In the case of the NVE-N852a the gyro sensor is built into the unit itself. As far as wiring connections go there really isn't that many for the Alpine unit and I wouldn't expect it to be any different from the Acura unit. You have power, ground, ignition, reverse, parking break, illumination, speed sense (vss wire) and thats about it...well you do also have audio mute out. Good luck if you decide to tackle this..if it was me I'd just go the after market route.

thanks for the reply, i looked at the wiring diagram ( i have the wiring diagram and pin outs on each plug), it doesn't seem like there were too many wires, i was wondering if it would have been easier just to take it apart and solder wires on myself to make it work, i wanted to see if anyone else has done anything like this. but if i guess if i can get about 1/2 the cost of an aftermarket alpine system ,i might take your suggestion. thanks.
