I just bought a 2000 TL about 2 weeks ago. I LOVE it for the most part, but the CD player will not work. Every time I put a CD in (regular or burned) it ejects it. when I hit the "CD" function button NOTHING happens.

Any suggestions??

 

put an aftermarket one in... i had the same problem im on my second stock HU... time to go aftermarket...

 

hey streetlegal816, i was thinking about putting an aftermarket headunit in my 2000 3.2tl but im scared it'll mess with the amp and what not, because the headunit i have has an amp built in, did you have any issues?

I was told that the aftermarket will disable the subwoofer in the back for my 2001 TL...can somebody tell me whether this is true?

 

Hey man, congrats on the purchase. I also have a 2000tl. Lol same problem with the CD player. I upgraded it to a single din Alpine cda-9884. And btw its true that your Bose subwoofer will not work with an aftermarket deck. But that is not a big deal. Go to the DIY thread, or search (keeping stock bose sub when switching to an aftermarket deck).
