In my brief browsing of previous postings, I didn't see anyone that attempted to put 2 din units in the double din opening.

What I'm wanting to do is to put a single din stereo/GPS unit in 1 space and a public service scanner in the other space above or below the stereo.

My car: 2003 CL-S, automatic, non-navigation, currently all stock.

The scanner I want to install is a Uniden BCT15.
The GPS/stereo would be a JVC KD-NX5000.


Is the JVC, electronic-wise, compatible with the stock CL system? Or will I have to by-pass the amplifier in the trunk? I'm assuming that I could purchase or make an adapter to plug the JVC into the system directly.
Does someone offer a bracket & bezel to house 2 units in a double DIN opening?
