currently i do not have a TL, but i mite be gettin a 99 TL hopefully with the kit if not with kit its k

but 1st mods i will be doing is STEREO and what i want to know has anyone put 2 sets of components in there car?

u know front and rear doors

i know u cant change out the bose sub in the back, well im sure u can

but this is what the set up would be 2 sets of infinity kappa components hooked up to a 85x4 avionixx amp alpine 9813 or 7998 as far as subs would go i would go with the ONE EDa 12 (elemental design) and a 800.2 avionixx amp

i mean that would sound nice rite?

(would it be possible to still use the bose sub with all the aftermarket stereo?)

anywyas back to the topic has anyone put 2 sets of components in there car if yes what brand what kinda amp u used to power it and hows it sound

Sounds like a plan to me, THere are so many speakers out there and I just say go hear some of them out and then make the choice. You can look at brands like

You can indeed put 2 sets of components in your ride. I only have one set in my front doors now but, will add either components or coaxials later. My other vehicle, I have a set of 6 1/2" Image Dyanamics in the front doors and am about to install a set of 5 1/4" in the rear doors.

 

personally i would not bother with the components in the rear doors... i would use the extra money to buy some bad ass components for the front doors... like the cdt eurosport line or focal utopias or some diamond audio hexs... and then just put some good coxials in the rear doors... as for keeping the stock sub... why would you want to... i mean i left mine in there but it is disconnected... and to be honest it would be more trouble than it is worth to get it to work with the aftermarket system... since the metra wiring harness only allows you to retain the use of the door speakers...

I put two sets of 60.5cs in my TL (+ 2 Kappa 10" in the trunk), sounds awesome with my Kenwood X650 amp/X959 deck. As far as the cost, it was marginally more expensive than the coaxial. Definately worth it to me (and anyone riding in the back, especially). I wouldn't keep the stock sub though if you're going to upgrade the rest, it will just sound better with a real sub
