2- 13w6v2

I am thinking of going with these instead of adding a 1000/1 to my 12w7. Should I upgrade anypart of my electrical system?

I was gonna do that. But the weight will be an issues. A 12w7 weighs 45lbs each and the 13w6v2 is liker 26lbs. When A get my SUV i am gonna do dual 13w7s with 1000/1 on each with 2 300/2 on the highs.

your stock alternator is 105 amps max...so you do the math. Anything over about 1300 watts RMS or so will put a big strain on it, and you wont be getting everything out of your amps w/o an upgraded one. You can get the stock one rewound to put out about 180 amps max - there are a few companies that can pull it off.

I have 1100 watts RMS w/o any problems.

I actually talked to the high end audio place here and they said I wil be fine adding another OPtima in the back. I am not going to be jamming on it all the time.
