No your car is out of warranty from ACURA .The extentended transmission warranty is only for the transmission & torque converter. Iam not sure about the 1999 modelbeing covered check on that. The 2000 -2002 models are covered along with some 2003. But the original new car warranty on things like radio & other stuff are only covered 4years or 50,000 miles from original new car purchase date. Check again on the search about this problem I think I remeber something about lables on the burt CDs. Do an old search for this topic.

I tried to replace mine under warranty but the dealer said "thats how its supposed to work" and wouldn't replace it. I don't know how the warranties are if you buy your car with more than 50,000 miles, I got my car used with 28,000 miles and my warranty only lasted until 50,000. Maybe if you buy your car later the warranty is extended?

the transmission warranty won't help your cd player, it only covers the transmissions and related parts.

some people buy certain brands of blank cds or burn their blank cds at lower speeds to try and get the cd player to work well, I just gave up and used a portable mp3 cd player with a tape adapter. you can also get a changer for your trunk and have it work with your stock head unit, or just swap out the stock head unit for an aftermarket one.

I'm not sure if all 99s are being covered or just certain VINs, but I just got a thing in the mail saying the warranty was extended to 7 years / 100,000 miles. I think its all 99s but I could be wrong...

If you got something in the mail then your car is covered for the transmission. I think somebody posted this a few weeks ago that they are covering the 1999 now. They fist started with the 2000-2002 models along with some 2003 I got my letter well over a year ago for my 2000TL. I purchased mine new in DEC of 1999. I have untill the end of DEC & my car will be out of warranty. I have only a little over 42,000 miles on mine. I put over 2,000 miles on it just this past month. The first year I had it I only put about 8,500 miles on it I wanted to make the warranty last as long as I could. I am taking mine to the dealer saturday for warranty work I hope on my brakes. I have the same problem now I had a few years ago. The parking brake light stays on for about 4 miles & then goes out & comes bake on if I press the brake pedal hard. The problem they fould out befor was a faulty brake level reservior cap. I hope it is the same thing again. I had the brakes checked at the last oil chang that was 2,000 miles ago. They said I should be able to go 7,000 miles or more so it should not need new pads yet.

All 99TLs have extended 7yrs/100k warranty for trans. If you bought a certified used Acura, then you have 7yrs/100k. If you bought it somewhere else then you're out of luck. Go to Acura website and reg. your car with the VIN under owner's link and it will tell you about recalls and warranty extentions.
