as long as the electrical system can support the load put to it, ur friend should be ok. if all he has is one bd amp...he should be ok. need reassurance? if the lights dim when the bass hits...his alternator isnt putting out enough juice...this applies to any car w/any upgraded stereo or other electrical devices.

I agree with systek. The old dimming lights is one of the best and cheapest tests there is. If they dim, a cap might be able to help as well.

He is gonna be using 1000BD and a 350s. I think I am gonna keep my Rockford 550x, I looked at all the specs and compared to a couple of amps,(besides JL casue I know its better) I even called Crutchfield and they suggested the 550x over the Alpine MRV340. So should are TLS have problem with a 1000bd and 550X besides lights dimming and it wont be cranked up but once a day for like 3 minutes. ( this is after work or after bioclass). IF I get the 1000BD I am gonna get 2 10s probally Kicker SOlobarics. and IF I get a 500bd I am gonna get One JL W6.

My 98 Accord w/ 2 x 500bd powering 2 x 12 Alum Eclips DVC's and Power 400.4 powering fnq comps would dim on the highway with the radio turned up loud. I only had a 1 farad cap assisting.

This time I am going with HO Alternator when I put the system in the TL
