'05 TSX - Dom Converter PNP Problem

I have Dom's unit with a PNP adapter and Accele 8500 for my '05 TSX... everything works great. The picture is excellent. My only problem is that when I turn my car off, the backlight on my nav screen stays on --- even after my alarm goes on, etc. I also notice that when I first unlock my car, the backlight on my nav screen pulses.

For power, I tapped into the lead going into the navigation screen in the trunk. It's the yellow w/ red stripe wire which is switched power according to one of the threads on the forum. I grounded all applicable wires to a bolt and lugnut that I secured through an existing hole in the trunk.

The only thing different that I did was change the switch, so I thought this might be the culprit. I used a SPST toggle. Would anyone happen to have any idea why this might be happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I just don't want to walk out to my car one day and not be able to start it, or have the backlight burn out on the nav screen.
