04 tl: underlying model of bluetooth wireless profile

I was wondering if anyone here knew the company that implemented the tl's bluetooth wireless profile for their cars. I heard the motorola car kit might be similar in functionailty?

Supposedly it was Johnson COntrols. Whoever did the TL OEM BT project did it to Acura spec. They would not allow much similarity typically...

We don't know who Johnson Controls used to source the BT technology, if anyone. Motorola claims that their latest BT car kits (BLNC) are based on the technology they sell to OEMs. In my tests with the BLNC IHF1000, it does seem to have all of the features (and more) of the TL HandsFreeLink (sans the digital display in the dash).

I'm having it installed in my 05TSX this weekend...
