'04 TL Stereo (my first post)

Really interested in the new TL. Test drove yesterday- 6-manual was a lot of fun! Couple things about the stereo noted- some possibly discused in this forum.

1. WTH is up with a CASSETTE DECK? Does anyone really use those any more? May as well be an 8 track deck- looks really out of place.

2. No MP3 read with the CD changer? If the designer of the system doesn't think the quality is up to snuff, then why not let the customer be the judge of that? I love my after market system in my Camry!

3. No way to plug in your MP3 player? They should have a slot that takes a 512 or Gig Compact Flash card and plays on an internal play (displaying the tags, etc)
I guess you could always buy a portable MP3 player that broadcasts wireless, then tune the stereo to the proper freq. Just seems pretty backwards to me- especially with all the cell phone 'blue tooth' hype.

I literally laughed out loud when I saw the cassette deck. I could just imagine the designers saying 'what the hell should we do with THIS?" Oh, well just put the word 'ACURA' on the cassette door and maybe no one will know. My dad is 75 years old and he burns MP3s for his car. WTH?

What do you guys think?
