Does anyone know if the 04 Accord navi disc work in the TSX?

I wanted to update my firmware but I hate the hassle of taking it to the dealer. My neighbor just got the new Accord w/ latest navi disc. My TSX has version 1.0 bought in april 03. Every now and then it locks up and I read if you stick in a new disc it will update the hardware (aka fix my lockup problem). Of course I will give him back his accord disc and reinsert my TSX dvd. I also don't know if that will cause my navi to boot up with HONDA logo instead of Acura.

Has anyone tried this?

 

Well I got 1.0 with my TSX when I also bought it in April 2003. Mine has NEVER locked up. I play around with mine alot too. I live in Ohio so I went through the heat of summer and the cold of winter and it didn't affect it at all. So I doubt the firmware upgrade is going to help you. If your NAV locks up I would make the dealer replace the unit while it is still under warrenty. That should not happen.

I just got the new NAV DVD a few weeks ago.

 

do you have the SNHOND3 adapter installed in yout TSX?

 

No I don't have a SNHOND3 adapter. My car is straight OEM, no mods for now.

I've read on some of the forums where people w/ 1.0 had lockups while the later navi releases did not. I can't remember the thread but someone updated to latest firmware and no more lockups for them. I'd hate to have my entire dash/dvd torn out the car, but I might have to. I hope it can get fixed with a software update.
