How did you run the new stereo into the amp? Is it speaker level input or line level?

Either way, where did you run the new wiring physically in the car? If it is running close to other wiring that could cause noise in the line.

My personal ... ditch that amp, ditch the Bose, and get some new speakers. Run your own wiring. Those Bose speakers are lousy.

Yeah i've heard the bose speakers aren't that great, but i don't really need a bad@$$ system or anything. I just replaced the head unit so i could listen to MP3's to and from work as well as just listen to the radio. Running new wires and installing new speakers is just simply more work than i want to do in order to accomplish my goals.

By static...well, i guess its more like white noise that comes out of the speaker with the sound. on level 1 its very prevalant but if i turn it up to 3-4 the sound drowns it out, but then its too loud to listen to. I've turned down the bass and treble and it helped some, but not completely.

Someone said i could bypass the amp but i'll have to get more info on that as i didn't quite understand his instructions. If anyone knows how to do that I'd love a little more instruction on that. Thanks
