CL: '01 Sound system specs
'01 Sound system specs
Hi I'm in process of designing a sound system for my CL, but I have some questions that cannot be answered due to a few FAQ links and pics in Jonesi's thread dying...
First, can someone point me to a 'detailed' FAQ on removing the stock 6-disc radio from the dash... (pics please)
Next, I plan on installing a 4-channel amp to the stock speakers but I heard a rumor about the OHM load being different from most cars. (Standard 4ohm load) I could use some clues about the wattage of those Bose speakers too.
And finally, where is that crappy Bose amp located??
Thanks in advance guys...

Here's the IceLink installation which includes removing the 6 disc cd changer: http://www.ihasaids.com/upload/data/1278458965.pdf
The amps located behind the jack in the trunk.
Here's the information on the stock speakers. Hope this helps:

Awesome work Andrew!!! Now the reason I was asking about the speakers was because I planned on installing another amp to the stock speakers to hold me over till I could purchase new ones. I don't want to fry my amp... Even the BOSE website has no info on the Ohm impedance, but I did shoot them an email asking about it.
