Crutchfield gives speaker adapters with the 6.5s when purchased I know, but I'd like to know where to buy them outside of Crutchfield. Or an alternative as well

Wierd I tought it Uses the same Size of the Stock TL that is 5-1/4 Not 6-1/2.
Mehh there are some little differences after all.

I installed 6-1/2 either way but I had to Cut some extra plastic from the Stock Holder to make them Fit.

hmm... i believe the only way to do this correctly is to cut the whole bigger then drill new screw holes and use speed nuts or simpler cut a mounting hole in the door panel it self and used the speed nuts to hold the fabric down after you spray some apoxy on there first and used the speed nut for some thing the treads on the bolt to hold on to for right now i have them in what spacer the dumbass at the sound shop said would work and zip ties don't get me wrong it still sounds good and its a strong hold but i want it to look a lot better

I Used Clean RTV Silicone to Seal the OEM Spacer + Hold the Speaker, I didnt use any Screws at All only the Stock ones that Hold the Spacer Itself.

Sounds Good and the Speaker itself is Secured like Stone to the Spacer havent had an Issue since.

I thought I could use the basket too but there would be no way to fasten the speaker in. I went to a stereo shop yesterday and they even said it would be easier to use the adapters and would give them to me free since I had my stereo installed. Mine are mb quartz and even with a lot of trimming there's no way I could hold the speaker in and use the basket
