01 cl nav, i want to add pionner d3 with ability to...
new member here and I have a 2001 acura cl premuim with factory navi. Last week i bought a pionner avic d3 nav double din to replace the stock radio.
1. When ipod music video is playing on the avic d3, can somehow the video playback on the factory nav screen also with a toggle switch or something since factory nav is at eyelevel.
2. can i retain volume control on the steering wheel with the new double din ?
3. can i still keep factory nav voice control and new double din voice control also ?
Thanks and looking forward to some helpful insights before i get it proffesionaly installed.

1. You'll need to get creative, I'm not familiar enough with the D3 to know if there's a video output. If there is then yes it's possible.
2 and 3 the answers can be found in the DIY/FAQ thread or by a simple search.

i called a local audio shop here in houston and they told me that if they install my pionneer avic d3 double din that i will loose the touch screen ac control and nav on my factory nav system in my 01 cl nav, what kind of bs is that?

that's WAY more work than you want to do. Like I said just find out if it has a video output, if not, maybe search for a head unit that does.
