01' CL EQ bypass diagram same as 02' TL?
When the site was down I was browsing our sister TL site (www.acura-tl.com), and came up with some interesting information. I am trying to figure out if this information can be used for us as well.
The following is a link to the message thread if anyone wants to read up on it;

Now apparently the Bose EQ boost the higher frequency spectrum to enhance one of the deficiencies of the crappy stock paper cone speakers up front. This would be very good information for me, and other that choose to go MB Quart because of the high frequency nature of those particular speakers.
I might give this a shot possibly this weekend, but I think we should probably factor in a couple of things, and I guess the first and most important is the lack of a sub in our setup (which the TL has). I tossed the question out to the folks on that board, and they believe that the EQ bypass modification should work for us as well, but I have my doubts. I haven't taken a look at the Helm's wiring diagram, but wondered if someone could make a quick interpretation for me.

According to Bose, the equalization is outboard of the head unit. My experience would bear this out, as once you tap into the factory harness right after the head unit with the appropriate line-output converter (e.g., AudioLink PD4 or SoundGate LOCB), it's a pretty conventional install.
Hope this helps,
