Exclamation '00 TL audio problems

Ok well first off I seem to have a rattle in my trunk. I've checked it out and it seems to stop when i push up on the back of the trunk where the stock sub is. No clue what could be ratteling but it is quite annoying. Second problem is my stock deck doesnt want to read cd's sometimes. It will take forever to start playing the a song and then once it does if i try to change songs it will once again just take forever to start that next song. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As for the rattle you need to really get in there and figure out what is causing it. start touching and holding things. It may be something simple.

As for the radio, the only 2 real fixes are a stock radio from the 2002-2003 TL or a aftermarket radio. The 99-01 are notorious for not playing burned cds.

You need to find out whats causing it. Is it the rear deck? is it the cover? is the speaker bolted down? is it the torsion bars? play around and see what you come up with.

yea I was messing around with it before I put the original post and I noticed that when those springs or bars or w/e were dampened than the rattle was reduced significantly. Unfortunatly I dont know how to fix that. Also has anyone had the same problem with their stock deck?

if you like the stock look the 02-03 is the best bet. Unfortunately it wont read MP3. I myself like the aftermarket radio option. More choices and makes the stereo sound better.
