[TSX] Securing amp rack Q

Anyone have a good idea/actual method for securing an amp rack in the area of the trunk above the gas tank?

mdf on the floor, attach amp(s) above or through the floor.

I think he means on the wall of the trunk. So that the minimum amount of trunk space is wasted.

If you put something on the floor, it's gonna be in the way constantly.

Yeah, the only problem with that is the gas tank is directly under the floor. That was why I was asking, I'm curious as to where/how specifically people have attached it - i.e. where to drill without hitting something critical.

I'm assuming that your back seats fold down, which mine don't. What I'm doing is mounting MDF behind my carpet in between the carpet and seats and screwing the mdf into the seat bracket and the amps into the mdf through the carpet. If your seats don't fold down, that would be an option. If your seats fold down, maybe you want to mount under the trunk floor back behind the spare and away from the gas tank Then the only thing you might have to do is get a fan to remove heat from under there. Just a thought.

If I'm reading you right, by "back behind the spare" you mean between the spare tire well and the back seats? If so, that's where the gas tank is located. Thanks for the reply though.

Someone with a TSX must have put a amp or two in this location and mounted it securely...
