***Relocating DEI 520T Easy & Quick Question***

I own a 2003 TLS equipped with Clifford 3.5, DEI 530T modules, DEI 506T, and DEI 520T. I would like to relocate the DEI 520T (back up battery module) and need some quick help.

If I unplug the DEI 520T will i set off the alarm? Somone told me that when I unplug it, it wont' go off, but when I plug it back into the brain then it will go off. Is this true?

If it does will simply pushing the unlock button on the key fob disengate it?

What is the proper way to do this?

I know this should be very easy for some of you so if you could just quikcly tell me I'd be greatful.

Thank You

If the alarm is DISARMED and it is disconnected from power, a DEI alarm should not go off when it is re-connected.

But if you want to be sure, re-connect power with the ignition key in the RUN position. This ensures no trigger on power-up.

Thank You, worked like a charm!! Relocated it and set to go. One more question, what is the proper place to mount the Shock sensor to?

You should only mount a shock sensor in the privacy of your own home : )

If this is the DEI 504 Magnetic resonance sensor, I would wire-tie it to a good-size wire harness.

DO NOT HARD MOUNT THE 504 TO METAL! It may SEEM that that's a better way, but it ain't.

The wire harness allows low freq vibration to get thru and high freq noise is foltered out.

If you hard mount it it will false for Harley exhausts every time. Mount it with a wire tie to a big wire harness or elcro it to an air duct and you can get good coverage and good HF rejection. Go for one close to the center line of the car if you can - gives better L-R symmetry.
