i'm getting a JL 10w7 with the HO box and a JL 500/1 amp installed for $1150 with a 3 year warranty on it........how does this price sound? any suggestions?

I don't know if you got that price from us, but with installation, that sounds just about right. I came up with $1149.60 installed

 

I got quoted $1100 for 1 12W7, JL 1000/1, cap, and a custom box. I think that your quote is too much...

Do you mean a 500/1? That 1000/1 runs about $1000.00 itself.

hey TL909 i dont know what your smoking man. the 12W7 should run you like 600 if you aint getting hooked up and the JL 1000/1 should run you 1000. a cap about 100 if its not digital and a box id say about 175. so yeah ummm your price of $1100 sounds like your talking out the side of your neck.

 

The shop is actually called "Race N Rock." The phone # is (909) 359-8700. I've never been to that shop before, but I was driving towards the freeway and stopped in. Forgot the owners name, but I know he just bought a MB SL500. I guess that could be a way to ask for him?! Anyhow, this is what he quoted me: JL 12w7 = $450, JL 1000/1 $600, and custom box for $50. He said he would just give me the cap. I asked for it in writing, so all he did was write $1100 on the business card. I guess I won't be able to get that deal again!? Too bad I didn't have $1100 on me that day...
