Amp questions
My amp in my 05 Acura has blown and I was looking to replace it. I've been doing research and I guess this amp is a tough one to replace because of the size and location.
I don't want to move the location of the amp. Has anyone bought an amp that actually fits where the stock one is (right below the glove box)? I'm trying not to buy a refurbished amp.
I appreciate the help in advance!

I had mine repaired at Carstereohelp.com. It was $125. Turnaround time was less than a week. I had bought a used amp, and it died within days. The one I sent in, has worked for over a year. From what I was told, they rebuild the amp. No problems since. Call them if you have any questions, they are very helpful.

Amp repair is an option too
I just repaired the OEM amp in my 04. Turns out there were just a bunch of bad capacitors. It took me maybe an hour or two to fix. The parts I had laying around, but you can buy them for maybe $20 max. I can do a howto if someone wants me to.
I had noise at low volumes (alternator/spark noise) and much lower audio level than normal. Both were completely fixed by replacing the caps.
