Wider Text Editor

If it is an easy update, it would be helpful at times if the text editors on the following pages were wider.
  1. Bottom of thread in quick reply area
  2. "Go Advanced" page
  3. Create new post page
I understand the arrow buttons on the top right of the editor allow you to increase, decrease the height, but increasing the width for people that make larger posts would definitely be helpful. Especially for those with widescreen monitors which many people have these days.

Didn't know that feature was there, primarily because it only appears on Safari on Mac. Doesn't appear on Firefox 3.6 at all which is why I didn't know about it.

In any case, I still feel having it wider all the time like it is in the following screenshot would be helpful.

Yea, I wasn't sure what version that site was using as there wasn't mention at the bottom of the page indicating anything.

Although that is FF4, I just tried it on my MBP and it still doesn't work. I also disabled AdBlock Plus thinking maybe it was conflicting

So for me it doesn't seem to work on both FF3.6 and FF4 on MAC. Anyone else having issues like this? I'll try it on my iMac later and report back.

So I'm posting this from my work's MBP, running FF3.6 and it too doesn't show the resize tool in the text box.

I don't know what to tell you. Every single forum I visit has those little triangles at the bottom corner. They have for as long as I can remember. I really do not understand why they aren't present for you

No worries, it's not a big deal.

i definitely agree this will help a lot. Why not have a Text Editor as wide as the page? I've always thought that would be great.

Also, that little triangle doesn't appear in FireFox. Never seen it on any other forum either.
