Time to change to 97BlueAckCL.....

I vote thumbs down on the change, and it's not just because I'm an old curmudgeon. It doesn't help with the clarity of the interface at all.

For whatever one stupid dumb old man's opinion is worth, the original Jelsoft/vBulletin default theme is better than anything anybody has come up with since, if you are after serious posts and keeping people engaged for an extended period of time.
The psychology of color.
Text needs to be black.
Text fields need to be white to a light maize color, and posts should alternate between those two colors to set them apart form each other.
Highlights need to be light blue to a medium blue, but no darker.
Reds and blacks are a very, very bad idea.
This assumes you want to keep people engaged and typing for extended periods of time, and it assumes a basic demographic that is almost certainly true.
:-)
These principles were embodied in the default vBulletin blue theme.

Would it be possible to get some subforums going for the ILX section? Things are starting to get cluttered as more new users sign up and ask vague questions.

I'd prefer underlining over blue text to signify hyperlinks.

Yeah this blue text is for the birds.
You should have a test forum/server that you can try out all these changes on before rolling them over to the main forum

Blue is fixed, but now everything is underlined. I noticed a blue link in the home invasion thread, so here is a test. https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblin.../#post15161169
EDIT: No dice.

This is better but I still like it the way it was a week ago without the undeline.
I remember back in the day that just the links used to be underlined and there was an upgrade a few years back and that went away. I remember discussing it with some noob who was complaining about how the links weren't underlined anymore, I told him where to stick it. But it seems that functionality that we had years ago was lost during that upgrade and never came back. Might be an admin error ( ) or a vbulletin platform issue, IDK. This all or nothing with no granular control is for the birds too
can we change 97blueackcl to 97underlinedblackackCL
maybe make a new poll to see if we like underlined or not

Oh and while you're checking this thread if we could get the ability to embed videos into R&P that'd be great! Currently only youtube and vimeo works in there, but html embed would be tits!
Thank you, your highness :worship::brownnose:

Maybe I'm missing something here because when I saw the preview of your post in my email notification I fully expected to see red text since nothing has changed but the font color.
I can still hover over the title in the thread page and see a preview of the text.
Clicking on the thread title in the thread page always takes you to the first page unless you click on the arrow in the "last post" column. If you meant clicking on a link that is in a post, that never took you to the last page either.
If I'm missing the point let me know or provide some specific information.

What I meant by being taken to the last page when clicking on a thread title.... for example, if I'm on the main page and I saw that there was a new post to the "Acura: TL and TLX...." thread
or if I was in Ramblings and I saw there was a new post to "The NEW Funny...." thread
I was able to click on the thread title link and I'd be taken to the last page of the thread.
This and the pop-up preview text box wasn't working for me the other day, but now they are and only when I'm logged in. Both use to work whether I was logged in or logged out. But it's no big deal.
Oh, and the site is actually easier on my eyes with the black text vs the blue text. Maybe that's just me though.

A co-worker had it in his for a couple of days. The manager of the over-seas sites that test our chips before sending them directly to the customer didn't have much appreciation for it.
