They are back. A minor glitch I caught about the same time this thread was posted, let astro know and he worked his magic, and it was fixed about 6 minutes later.

I noticed the blue fonts as well and thought there was something going on with the iPad............

 

Same here, but I like the change. Doesn't bother me. It definitely caught my attention though. I actually refreshed the page like a newb.

 

We're trying this out because of the new program that replaces hyperlinks with text in posts, making the links very hard to see when they are all the same font color.

It only affects links, so the rest of the text retains the black coloring.

I think it helps find links within a post or thread.

We're also working on a way to show links like this: [Link: acurazine.com] and the "acurazine.com" is underlined.

I thought there was a way to just make the links in posts blue but found out it's all or nothing.

 

I don't mine the blue text.

Things I miss:

• seeing a pop-up text box displaying the first few lines of the OP's post when I hover over the link to a thread. Feature used to save me from having to click link and then view the actual post to see what the post was about.
• when clicking on a link to a thread, I'm no longer being taken to the last page of the thread. It takes me to the 1st page and then I have to click on "Last" to go to the last page

Is that new today? I really appreciated those features too, and it seems like they were there yesterday.

 

Maybe I'm missing something here because when I saw the preview of your post in my email notification I fully expected to see red text since nothing has changed but the font color.

I can still hover over the title in the thread page and see a preview of the text.

Clicking on the thread title in the thread page always takes you to the first page unless you click on the arrow in the "last post" column. If you meant clicking on a link that is in a post, that never took you to the last page either.

If I'm missing the point let me know or provide some specific information.

 

Except where it's neither... for example in the thread list, the OP's name is listed in black even though it's a link.

I agree it would be best if only links in posts were called out with the blue text because on the forum lists, pretty much everything is a link.

 

The program works well in individual posts, but I'm not thrilled with the wall of bright blue and bold bright blue text on each of the forum lists.
