So which day are we planning in holding this meet???? At least we have confirm we will do it in the late morning early afternoon so we can all have lunch then go for a nice cruise. Richmond sounds like a good idea since parking is easy and lots of restaurants. Maybe later we can cruise to Stanley Park for some nice pics??

So we have to set a date for everyone to confirm if they can make it.

First off, thanks for the PM Bread-A Spec otherwise I wouldn't have been reminded about this Vancouver meet, although I did hear about it through Patrick already.

I live in Vancouver also and this TL meet sounds interesting but getting everyone on a particular day is going to be the hard part: Like Chew said, July 1 might sound good because it's Canada Day.

My schedule in general is anything after 5:30-6pm on weekdays, Mondays-Free anytime , Sundays-Free anytime. Some of the members suggestions of taking good pictures would only work on a day which has good sunshine (or no rain haha) and when it doesn't get too dark and driving around is going to take a bit of time, in addition to dinner/lunch, so take that into consideration.

If we do meet in Richmond, just make sure we can meet in a parking lot that is big enough because on some days, Richmond parking lots are full as hell and I don't want to be parking in a crowded parking area.

Chewi:

This sounds like a possible idea or some weekend might be okay in July also?

Red face July 1 - Meet & Greet

This mini meet sounds good. I'm game for July 1. Lansdowne is a good place to meet. The mall is a good landmark on a busy street. More people will relate to the mall parking area than to the college.

PM or email me a copy of the flyer so I can get some pasted on a few cars as well. Place one flyer on the window of any good looking Acura you would not mind including and I will ask some dealers to post as well.

I'm not sure we should be using the Acurazine's name.

Now lets discuss food.
Cactus Club is nearby.
Hon's is great for door dings - tiny parking spots
Maybe a Quiznos or something like that.

I like the flyer idea but I think it would make it more special if we can reach out to our Members here at Acurazine. Just the fact we talk to each other all the time but never met face to face. Sometimes it is good to put a face to what you read here. I mean I would like alot of Acura's in this meet but I just find it hard to chat and get to know each other if the meet gets too big. Just my thoughts! Plus we should close this thread and start a new one for Canada Day Vancouver Acurazine TL/TSX Meet 11:00am Landsdowne Mall. What do u guys think???

I think Landsdowne Mall North East Side Parking sounds good to meet; we should meet pretty early so that the parking lot doesn't fill up just in case because July 1 is indeed a holiday and there might be a lot of people shopping. I am thinking to meet around 10am-11:00am sometime so we can hog up or reserve spaces for the others.

I agree strongly with ed99 in trying to get as many members from this Acurazine forum to go to the Vancouver meet since this is where most of us have met each other and hanged out to talk/listen/discuss our Acura's. I did also think that there are probably more members that don't even know about this possible meet and if we could, I would like the moderators of this forum to allow us to post a Vancouver,B.C. meet thread in the "main" section of the forum so we can get as much exposure as possible since July 1 is only a week's time. There are other guys like "EdwardTLS" who lives in Richmond; I'll PM him.

ejn184's idea is also great in trying to get more Acura (TL,TSX, etc.) owners in Vancouver lower mainland and surrounding areas if we can't get enough people. This idea is still open.

As for triggle's comment on where and what food we should go eat: I am open to anything as long as we can park our cars in fairly open spaces so no one damages anyone of our cars. I am sure we all love our Acuras

Smile Birds eye view

For those out of towners. The meeting place is in Richmond, which is like a suburb of Vancouver just to the South of Vancouver. If you are comming up I-5 then you'll pass through Richmond before you get to Vancouver.

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=49.17...0664&t=k&hl=en

The meeting spot should be in the top right corner of the image.
Zoom out or drag the map around to get your bearings and click on MAP to change views.

3 - subs
4 - White Spot / Dennys / Cactus / Red Robin
5 - fast food McD's / BK / Wendy's
6 - food fair in the mall - if open - Canada Day closed ?

How about Sammy J Peppers...
The parking lot is better than cactus club.
Sammy J and Cactus club are side by side.

Maybe we can park at sammy J's and walk to Cactus Club lol.

Lightbulb If you can't make it:

Hey, Bread-A Spec - Time to bag a day off work. We'd all like to meet you but Mondays are going to be bad for most of us. If you really can't make a weekend meet then I'd be willing to meet with you for a coffee some eve. It'd be a micro-meet but maybe we can influence a few others people just to hit a Tim Hortons for an hour or so when the time is right. I'll try to get some pics of our group meet and their rides for you.

Hehe, do we need any name tags so we know each other? Maybe some people might be shy so just a suggestion so we can see each other's forum names ?

As for food, anything is good with me as long as there's good parking space.

I think the plan is....We get to lansdown mall parking lot by 11am
Then we check out each others rides and introduce ourselves.

@ 11:45am we should drive to a place to eat in richmond.

at 1:30pm we shall cruise to downtown through robson street and have a short stop at Stanley park for pics in one of the parking lots if there is enough space for us. And then we shall cruise somewhere else.... but i'm out of ideas for now....

Anybody else have different ideas?

Or shall we Cruise first and then eat lunch... cuz i'm afraid some people might have to leave early.

Plz add your opinions so we can all decide on something and be more organized.

LAST & MOST IMPORTANTLY............ LETS DRIVE SAFELY !!!!!! We do not want to give others a bad impression of our TL members. We wouldn't want to have our cars hated on and vandalized oneday....
